Care How You Feel
Your body is telling you a story right now – tune in and listen, and care enough about what it is telling you to take action in your life – to reduce stress, to slow down, to follow the leaps of joy in your heart.

[0:01] Let's practice.
[0:37] Beginning as always, taking our seat. Arranging our body. Becoming intimate with our body. Arranging it in space. Our feet, our legs. Our hips, our lower back. Our spine, upright. Our chest, open. Our head, reaching upward. Our chin, a little tucked. Tongue on the roof of the mouth. Mouth a little bit open. Our eyes could be open. If they are, a very soft gaze. Allowing, just allowing the world to be as it is. Cultivating and. A radical non-aggression. This soft gaze. This way of just sitting. We're not forcing anything to be any other way than just how it is. Supplies to. Physical objects. Situations. Other people. And our own thoughts. Cultivating this radical gentleness, non-aggression. Allowing it to be. Cultivating our capacity to be with. Whatever it is.
[4:35] And being intimate. With what is. Placing our awareness on the experience, the intimate experience of our body breathing. Getting close.
[5:31] Coming out from some of those protective walls. Coming out from our head. And becoming more intimate with our body. Our nature. And the world that is right here next to us. Part of us. In this very moment. As we sit and breathe.
[7:13] Placing our mindful attention precisely and intimately with our breath as we breathe out.
[9:45] We'll begin to hear this story through our feelings. Not in the words. It's not how the body speaks. But in the feelings. That may be the feelings of harriedness. Or stress. Tightness. And it could be those little leaps of joy. These are stories. And like we might listen to a friend telling us what's really going on in their life. We might listen intently with care and compassion. Listen to ourselves. With that same care. Gentleness. And care how we feel.
[12:04] If our body is speaking to us of loneliness. Of needing touch. Then listen. Explore it. And then create that. If it's speaking of stress. Of not enough time. Of harriedness. Then listen and care. Slow down. Create space. And explore that. And then with those leaps of joy. Listen hard. Turn toward. And turn toward. Whatever it is. That when you see it. When you feel it. Your heart leaps. Listen.
[13:59] As we sit here.
[14:22] To these stories. Do we care enough? To take compassionate action. And then to move our body, our environment, everything. Because we care.
[15:50] And with this attention on our body breathing, slowing to this natural pace. And caring enough and wanting to be intimate with ourselves.
[16:46] So that we can hear these stories. Of the world. That are being spun. All the time.
[17:31] Arrrr, ancient selves. Deep within us.
