- Preface: The Manual for the Suit
- Allocution
You have the suit — now name, with precision, who you are becoming. Not a goal, not an affirmation, but an exacting description that installs a seed. Let's find yours.
- Clarity
Allocution doesn't arrive from nowhere — clarity forms it. Clarity is convincing yourself you need to make the journey, and it matters because a seed is always being focused; the only question is which one. Let's go deeper.
- The Reality Creation Loop
Now the fundamental practice. What you see is what-was. Place your attention on what you want — the allocution — no matter what, all day long.
- The Paramitas: Medicine for the Human Condition
The loop leaves you with a question: which quality will melt the obstacle arising right now? Let's meet the six paramitas as if for the first time — not virtues to admire, but specific medicines for specific diseases.
- Meditation as Conscious Wisdomating
Concentration is the magnifying glass that gathers scattered light until it can ignite — and meditation is far bigger than the cushion. Come practice it as conscious wisdomating: being, all day long, who you have chosen to become.
- Physical Reality Is Mind
Take it into the arena. The dirty kitchen, the walk you keep not taking — these aren't separate from the path. They show you where loving-kindness hasn't reached yet. Let's love ourselves into action.
- Closing the Gap: Wisdom in Motion
Step back and see what's really happening. It isn't allocution that closes the gap, and it isn't effort — it's loving-kindness, the force of union, bringing here and there together until there is no gap at all.
Clarity
Clarity is convincing ourselves we need to make the journey — though the self never travels; it stays at its still point while the realm transforms around it. Since seed focusing never pauses, clarity is what lets us focus the same seed consistently and overcome the link-resistance of the old self.
Clarity is convincing ourselves we need to make the journey.
This simple definition contains depths that unfold as we examine it. First, there is a journey—a movement from one realm to another, from fear-fabric to loving-kindness-fabric. Second, we must be convinced of its necessity—not merely intellectually persuaded but deeply committed at the level where our moment-to-moment choices are made. Third, we must convince ourselves—this is not something that can be given to us by another; it is an inner alignment that we must generate and maintain.
The Nature of the Journey
From our viewpoint in time and space, we perceive the journey as movement from here to there. We are in one state; we want to be in another state; the journey is the movement between them.
But this is not what is actually happening.
What is actually happening is this: We stay put. We remain at the still point—the confluence where our identity coalesces. And we alter the experience around us, bit by bit, until it becomes the realm we want.
The self does not travel. The realm transforms. We do not journey from fear to love; we remain still while the fabric of our reality shifts from fear to loving-kindness.
Seed Focusing Is Always Happening
To understand clarity more deeply, we must understand a crucial fact: seed focusing is always happening. Every moment, some seed is being focused. Every moment, some layer is being deposited. There is never a pause in the process; there is never a moment when realming is not occurring.
The question, then, is never whether we are focusing seeds. The question is which seeds we are focusing.
Without clarity, we focus different seeds moment to moment, driven by circumstance, habit, social context, craving, aversion, and distraction. The layers being deposited are incoherent, contradictory, working at cross-purposes. One moment we are focusing a seed of ambition; the next, a seed of resentment; the next, a seed of fear; the next, a seed of love. The realm that manifests from this incoherent focusing is itself incoherent—a confused mix of different fabrics, pulling in different directions.
With clarity, we focus the same seed consistently. Moment after moment, choice after choice, the same seed is focused. The layers being deposited are coherent, aligned, building on each other. The realm that manifests from this coherent focusing is itself coherent—a unified fabric, moving in a clear direction.
Clarity and Link-Resistance
Deliberating whether we should or should not pursue transformation is the process of clarity itself: clarifying that we do really want this new way of being. This is what we must do—convince ourselves we want it.
This overcomes link-resistance—the resistance to linking to a new way of being.
The new way of being has to be intruded into our interior, displacing what is there. We must unlink our old idea of self and link to a new idea of self in Alaya. This is not comfortable. The old patterns resist. The familiar identity clings. Link-resistance is the experience of this clinging—the drag, the inertia, the pull back toward what we were.
Clarity overcomes link-resistance by making the new way of being so clearly desirable, so obviously necessary, that the resistance is overwhelmed. Not through force, but through clarity. When we truly see that the old way leads only to more suffering and the new way leads to liberation, the choice becomes clear—and the resistance, while still present, no longer has the power to stop us.
