Integrating Body, Heart, and Mind
Much of the time we spend with our mind off in one place, our body doing something, we’re not quite sure what, and we don’t even hear our heart. Practice integrating all three, developing a listening for our heart.
Transcript
[0:10] Allowing our body to come to stillness. An awake, alert stillness.
[0:52] Allowing our body, our heart, our mind to come together into a sort of natural frequency. Pace with each other. So often, these aspects are disconnected. Our mind is off somewhere. Our body is doing something. And maybe our heart, we don't quite know.
[2:07] So taking this time to pay attention to our heart. Allow it to open. Become conscious of our body. And bring our mind. Back. To now. To where we are. These three aspects. Bringing. Them together. Which happens in the present moment.
[3:28] We can do this. By slowing our mind. To be with body breathing. Breathing. Breathing out. Mixing with space. Helps us move. Move out from this closed-in-mind experience or out through the body, through sense perceptions. And unfold into the space in which we exist. And at the same time, opening our heart, paying it attention, cultivating emotion, appreciation, joy, curiosity, loving-kindness. Developing this integrated body, mind, heart.
[5:44] Breathing out.
[6:03] Feeling open space.
[6:21] Feeling our open heart. And life energy flowing through our body. Using the gates of our sense perceptions.
[11:18] Feeling the deep restfulness as we allow our mind to settle into the body's rhythms. And wakefulness of our heart. As we remove, let go of our ears.
[13:26] For me, it's just play and enjoy curiosity. It wants to leap and cuddle and tickle.
[14:10] Once, when we allow it.
