Play Meditation
Slow Down
Time expands as we slow down, paradoxically. Slow to the speed of a gentle curious playful stroll through the forest. Slow to the speed and natural rhythm of a single breath, and find the vastness contained within.

[0:02] Let's practice.
[0:39] Moving around that feels good and allowing ourselves to settle, to come consciously, actively
[1:23] stillness, as a way to create this contrast medium. Where we can more clearly see the speed of mind. Because what we notice, we can work with.
[2:22] So, just sitting, breathing. Still.
[2:47] And really just allowing ourselves to rest. With and in the stillness.
[3:25] Beginning to stay with each breath. A one breath meditation.
[3:58] Full permission. To rest. And to slow.
[4:36] Slowing down enough. That we can be with each breath.
[5:09] You might face resistance. We don't want to slow down.
[5:32] We tend to be habituated to speediness. Because we constantly make that choice, choosing to rush, to speed, to do, move to the next thing. And so here we're practicing making a different choice. Slowing to the pace of our breath. How completely can we be with the breath as we breathe out? Can we be 100% with the experience of breathing?
[8:07] It's slowing to this sort of natural pace. Maybe feels like the same pace as a walk, a saunter through a forest. Just stopping to notice the flowers. Exploring. Or lying out in a meadow on the grass. Just wriggling your toes in the grass in the sunlight. natural curiosity and exploration. The swell of the ocean. There's so much richness to explore. When we slow to this natural rhythm of life. Like our breath.
[10:36] More time. Available. When we slow. That sense of not enough time. That tightness. The stress. The harriedness. It's not because there isn't enough time. It's because we're zipping through too fast.
[11:42] We forget to notice the joy. As we zip right by.
[12:07] So here we slow. We slow. And be completely with the breath. Resting. Exploring. And noticing.
[18:01] One single breath.
