The Garuda: Fearlessness

The Garuda is born fully formed into the air, never touching the ground. We can let go, fly into the vastness of space, without fear – beyond fear, as we develop confidence and trust.

[0:04] Let's practice.

[0:36] Taking our seat.

[0:56] Arranging our body so that we are open and uplifted.

[1:30] Cultivating nothing to hide and nothing to prove. Being right in the middle of our world. Engaging fully and directly.

[2:23] Checking in with our body. With a sense of fearlessness. Not that we don't feel fear. But that we choose to cultivate going beyond fear. And dealing directly with what is whatever may be with our body.

[3:35] Just being with what is all of it.

[4:40] And bringing our attention to our breath, breathing out. The experience of this body, breathing out. And extending into space. As each breath extends into space.

[5:38] With this attitude, this feeling of fearlessness. Being willing to open into space. To go beyond.

[6:40] To be unreasonable. Going beyond reason. Our reasons to stay smaller.

[8:28] The Garuda. The Garuda is the king of all birds. Fearlessly. Is born in the air. Feet never touch the ground. The wings and talons of an eagle. Extending its wings and flying fearlessly through space. With this warrior spirit. Being willing to venture. To dare. To extend farther and farther into space.

[10:39] To leave behind what is comfortable.

[11:11] High above the landscape.

[12:02] Being willing to let go. The Garuda has no chains or cage. But is willing to extend farther into space. Fearlessly. Unreasonably. Fearlessly.

[13:29] Without self-judgment. Going beyond doubts and fears. Soaring. And going fearlessly into space. Soaring.
