Directionality and the Three Layers
Seed focusing does not project outward; it intrudes inward, like light condensing to the centre of a spherical lens. Reality, all within mind, has three layers — fabric, being and physical — and when focusing reaches the fabric, change flows outward through everything built on it.
The Direction of Seed Focusing
Seed focusing has a specific directionality that is the opposite of what we might expect. It does not project outward; it intrudes inward.
Imagine a spherical magnifying glass where light from all around condenses to a point in the middle of the sphere. The sphere is awareness itself—expansive, non-dual, encompassing everything.
Seed focusing is like that light condensing to a point. From the expansive sphere of awareness, focusing moves inward, intensifying, condensing. It intrudes rather than extrudes.
This is crucial to understand. Most approaches to manifestation or goal-achievement assume an outward direction—we project our intention outward into the world to make things happen. But realming works the opposite way. We intrude inward to the deepest level, and then the flow happens outward naturally.
The Three Layers of Reality
Reality is not external or objective; it is all within mind. What we call "reality" is mind experiencing itself. Within this mind-experience, there are three layers:
The Deepest Layer: Fabric
This is what reality is made of. It is the quality of the seed: whether it is made of fear or loving-kindness. The fabric is not visible in itself; it is the ground on which everything else rests. You cannot see the fabric directly, but you can feel it—the deep substrate of your experience, the background tone of your life.
When the fabric is fear, everything that arises is colored by fear. Opportunities look like threats. Love looks like danger. Even success feels precarious. The fabric shapes everything built on it.
When the fabric is loving-kindness, everything that arises is colored by loving-kindness. Challenges become opportunities. Difficulties become teachers. Even loss is held in warmth. The fabric shapes everything built on it.
The Middle Layer: Being
This is all our mind patterns, habits, conditioned responses. It is the psychological layer—our beliefs, our reactions, our personality patterns. This is the layer that most therapy and self-help addresses.
The being layer is shaped by the fabric beneath it. If the fabric is fear, the being layer will develop fear-shaped patterns: anxiety, defensiveness, scarcity mentality. If the fabric is loving-kindness, the being layer will develop love-shaped patterns: openness, generosity, trust.
This is why working only at the being layer has limited effect. You can change your beliefs, but if the fabric beneath them is still fear, new fear-beliefs will form. You can release patterns, but if the fabric is still fear, new fear-patterns will arise. The fabric keeps generating fabric-consistent content.
The Outer Layer: Physical
This is what we see and hear—the apparent material world. It is the outermost expression of the deeper layers. Physical reality is the manifestation of the being layer, which is the manifestation of the fabric layer.
Most people try to change the physical layer directly. They rearrange their circumstances, change their jobs, move to new places, find new relationships. But if the deeper layers remain unchanged, the same patterns manifest in the new circumstances. The geography changes, but the experience remains the same.
The Flow from Fabric to Physical
When seed focusing intrudes correctly—condensing to the fabric level—the flow outward happens naturally. The fabric shapes the being layer; the being layer shapes the physical layer. Change the fabric, and everything built on it changes.
This is why realming is so powerful and why other approaches often fail. Realming targets the deepest layer. It changes what reality is made of. And when the fabric changes, everything else follows.
